NATURE AND SCOPE OF ADVICE
Before we provide personalised financial advice, we will agree with you the scope of the advice to be provided.
On Track Financial Planning Ltd provides regulated financial advice in two main areas.
1. Investment and retirement advice
We provide advice on:
KiwiSaver schemes
Managed investment schemes (including KiwiSaver schemes and retail superannuation schemes)
Portfolio construction
Lump sum investing
Retirement planning and retirement income strategies
Ongoing investment monitoring.
Our investment advice is limited to managed investment schemes and KiwiSaver schemes.
We do not provide advice on direct shares, derivatives, property purchase decisions, mortgages, or general budgeting services.
2. Personal risk insurance advice
We provide advice on:
Life insurance
Trauma insurance
Income protection insurance
Total and permanent disability insurance
Health insurance
We do not provide advice on general insurance products such as house, contents, or motor vehicle insurance.
We provide advice on products from a range of providers. The provider recommended will depend on your individual circumstances, needs, and objectives.
We provide advice in relation to products provided by the following companies:

Investment assets are held through a custodial platform administered by FNZ Custody Limited.
FEES AND EXPENSES
Planning Fee
If you would like personalised financial recommendations or a written financial plan without us arranging financial products on your behalf, we may charge a planning fee of between $400 and $1,500 (plus GST). We will always discuss and agree the fee with you before any work begins.
Investment Monitoring Fee
Where we provide ongoing investment monitoring and review services, an annual fee of between 0.35% and 1.00% per year (p.a.) of the amount invested may apply.
The exact fee will depend on the amount invested and the services provided, and will be agreed with you in advance. This fee is deducted from your investment account and disclosed to you before the service begins.
Commissions from providers
We may receive payments from product providers when we arrange or recommend financial products for you.
Investments
For some investment products, we may receive an ongoing service commission from the product provider, typically between 0.25% and 0.50% per year of the amount invested.
Insurance
If we arrange an insurance policy for you, we may receive an initial commission from the insurer and an ongoing commission each year the policy remains in place.
The amount of commission will be disclosed to you before the policy is implemented.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
On Track Financial Planning Ltd and its advisers may receive commissions or other benefits when financial advice is provided and financial products are recommended or arranged. This creates a potential conflict of interest because we may have a financial incentive to recommend certain products.
Investments
We are part of the IGNITE network, which has a relationship with Fisher Funds Management Limited. We may recommend Fisher Funds investment products where they are suitable for your circumstances.
Insurance
We are part of the IGNITE network, which has a relationship with nib New Zealand Limited for health insurance products. We may recommend nib insurance products where they are suitable for your circumstances. We may also recommend other insurers. If we recommend and arrange an insurance policy, the insurer may pay us a commission. The amount of commission will be disclosed to you before the policy is implemented.

We are not required to place business with any particular provider and will consider your personal circumstances before making a recommendation.
DISPUTES AND COMPLAINTS
If you are not satisfied with our financial advice service you can make a complaint by emailing james@ontrackfp.co.nz or by calling 027 443 5464. You can also write to us at PO Box 11537, Ellerslie, Auckland 1542. When we receive a complaint, we will consider it using our internal complaints process:
We will consider your complaint and let you know how we intend to resolve it. We may need to contact you to get further information about your complaint.
We aim to resolve complaints within 10 working days of receiving them. If we can’t, we will contact you within that time to let you know we need more time to consider your complaint.
We will contact you by phone or email to let you know whether we can resolve your complaint and how we propose to do so.
If we can’t resolve your complaint, or you aren’t satisfied with the way we propose to do so, you can contact Insurance & Financial Services Ombudsman (IFSO). IFSO provides a free, independent dispute resolution service that may help investigate or resolve your complaint, if we haven’t been able to resolve your complaint to your satisfaction.

DUTIES INFORMATION
On Track Financial Planning Ltd and anyone who gives financial advice on our behalf, has duties under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013 relating to the way that we give advice. We are required to:
Give priority to your interests by taking all reasonable steps to make sure our advice isn’t materially influenced by our own interests (431K);
Exercise care, diligence, and skill in providing you with advice (431L);
Meet standards of competence, knowledge and skill set by the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services (these are designed to make sure that we have the expertise needed to provide you with advice) (431L);
Meet standards of ethical behaviour, conduct and client care set by the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services (these are designed to make sure we treat you as we should and give you suitable advice).
